So my niece told me that when I was out of the room another family member told her “she(me) needs to shave, if she’s going to be a woman again she needs to at least try”

I used to worry so much about shaving every single morning so nobody would ever see my facial hair. It irritated my skin to all hell, so now I shave every 3 days or so. If I run into someone while I have stubble, fuck em. It's just hair.
