You want to know the truth? There is a very, very small percentage of the human population who have genuine gender dysphoria and who will actually benefit from transition. The rest of us? We're mistaken, mentally ill or are attention seeking in our loneliness. Or all three.

Our cultures obsession with being hot/flawless messes with kids self-esteem. If she's not fitting in and feels the pressure of online representations of what she "should" be, her distress is normal. Ask if she's being bullied and tell her she's not alone: many girls feel like her

Can I ask their age? My dysphoria began about 14/15 and, while I can't say it would've made a huge difference, I think I'd have handled it better if my loved ones asked about it, talked to me, reassured me I didn't need to change. When something's eating you alive, talking helps.
