      It’s okay to be gender non-conforming but still be a girl or a boy, but sometimes gender roles are a good thing. They give us an identity. It is the structure of our society and I believe we need them. 6/7 pic.twitter.com/dd4YfIFwTM

      I don't believe we *need* gender roles, but I think I get what they're saying: gender roles can be a big part of someone's ID eg. My sister prides herself in being a stay at home wife & mother, with all the feminine stereotypes that accompany it. Not for me but it makes her happy
