      No reasonable person could ever believe that children are able to consent to, and understand the consequences of, pursuing lifelong treatments that cause irreversible changes to their bodies. Gender Clinics are full of people who believe this. Keep your children away from them.

      The fact that pediatricians are forgetting what they know about childhood development is so frustrating. If you tell a child that when they are older, the doctors will change your sex, they will believe you. We can't, and it's cruel to imply that we can. #GenderWooWoo

      The thing that gets to me: there are a lot of detransitioners who were adults when they began transition (myself included) and yet they still came to regret it. If adults can make that mistake, what chance do young children have - especially when they're encouraged by adults/Drs?

      Alarmingly the @AmerAcadPeds guidelines seem to think they can tell who is really trans , & that any mental health issues are nearly always caused by gender ID not being affirmed. They even complain that desisters are included in research.pic.twitter.com/X7k2hgIgGE

      Some of these political activists genuinely do believe that they're more qualified than the actual experts on this issue, and they are pandered to by professionals who don't want to be called transphobic and lose their jobs.
