No reasonable person could ever believe that children are able to consent to, and understand the consequences of, pursuing lifelong treatments that cause irreversible changes to their bodies. Gender Clinics are full of people who believe this. Keep your children away from them.

The fact that pediatricians are forgetting what they know about childhood development is so frustrating. If you tell a child that when they are older, the doctors will change your sex, they will believe you. We can't, and it's cruel to imply that we can.

The thing that gets to me: there are a lot of detransitioners who were adults when they began transition (myself included) and yet they still came to regret it. If adults can make that mistake, what chance do young children have - especially when they're encouraged by adults/Drs?
