My kid was confused about gender identity, wanted to transition. I consented to a new name, but refused irreversible actions (hormones, surgery) until 18. A year into covid and now she doesn't feel that way anymore. Bought skirts with her birthday money.
No reasonable person could ever believe that children are able to consent to, and understand the consequences of, pursuing lifelong treatments that cause irreversible changes to their bodies. Gender Clinics are full of people who believe this. Keep your children away from them.

Therapist would have pushed drugs/surgery under the affirmation doctrine. My kid is not suicidal, super happy today.

I was in a Twitter convo re: canceling student debt. More than one young adult stated that they just didn’t know enough before they agreed to the debt. And yet, many adults say youth at age 12 can make decisions (w/o parental knowledge) that have lifelong health consequences.

I have had idiots tell me they fully believe that 5 year olds should be allowed to decide their entire future!!! I wish I were exaggerating. I’ve had full on debates but they refuse to listen to logic and reason of course. It’s gross.

I was thinking about this yesterday. My 3 and a half year old told me she wants to be a unicorn or a dinosaur. Trans-species? I smiled and then remembered that the youngest person referred to the Tavistock was 3.

This is one of the biggest travesties in our country & the world! I know 30 year-olds who still can’t make wise decisions. Letting a teen, or even some as young as 8! make such decisions is child abuse, period. What the hell is wrong with parents? They should fight viciously.
