You know the Tavistock has fucked up when your trans friends are angrier than you are. The clinic is harming trans people by immediately affirming every referral, extending waiting times for those who would actually benefit from transition & causing people to question trans care.

I don’t think any kids are ‘trans’ in any innate/essential sense. I think trans is something you *do* (transition) not what you *are*. Transition imo should be an adult decision but extended wait times do mean kids needing prompt & intensive support for dysphoria, don’t get it
Absolutely. Perhaps I should have said "gender dysphoric people" rather than "trans people."

they're distressed children as soon as their distressedness is categorised gender dysphoria it embeds as well as limits support options most importantly.... these are children. Not adults.
