Side note, my GIC therapist talked about the word "detransition" as if it inherently means something transphobic... great to know the word describing my experience has already been warped for them. smh!

When I first spoke to my clinic about my regret the GIC doctor and my previous therapist tried to dismiss it and came up with the idea that it was my ASD talking. There were other suggestions but that was my least favourite. 1/3

I can't help but laugh about it a little, throughout my transition everyone always spoke about fears of people being "gate kept" because of autism, and I finally experienced something like it, but on the way back. Wish it had gate kept me on the way there instead. 2/3

Having looked at the roster of some of the Tavistock staff it’s sadly not surprising that this is happening in GICs all over the place. It’s as though the most important qualification is belief in Gender Ideology, not experience of being a clinician.
