How many trans/detrans people would've never even considered transition had they never saw transition-related content online? Transition predates the internet, but no doubt the surge in people (esp. women & girls) seeking transition would NEVER have occurred without net access.

I socially transitioned in many regards before I found out what trans was and got DX'd with 'gender identity disorder' and then later on with 'gender dysphoria'. I lived as a man and then non binary for the rest of my teens and most of my young adult life. (See part 3)

That's awful, you should never have had to endure any of that. Thank you for sharing, I hope you're doing better. You're definitely not the only one who transitioned as a coping mechanism, so you're not alone.

Thank you, luckily I didn't medically transition. I was given the opportunity a few times, first at age 17, but I think I may have suspected deep down that I shouldn't (so I prolonged it). Although I am still Nicholas and have an "M" in some systems and am gonna have to change.

I understand, unfortunately, anyone discussing their detransition on here is likely to be mocked, insulted and accused of "transphobia." I'm with you x
