That's one persons story. I don't like to wave people aside, though I am sick of that being done to me and mine. That person deserves support and love, and so do the many, MANY detransitioners out there who have been bullied and silenced thus far.

You say that's one person's story, but so is Keira's? When you look at existing figures for detrans rates, it's really low, especially in NHS. why should 1% dictate what treatment is okay, but one detrans story shouldn't dictate how detransitioning is viewed? Make it make sense

The detrans rate appears so low because there has been no follow up by the clinics, there has been no effort to track and study the numbers. Or, rather, any effort to do so has been shot down due to detransition being seen as problematic.

This just isn't really backed up. If someone were to detrans, the clinic would hear about it due to ending prescriptions, records changes etc. Other stats show the rate is around 3%, and at most 5%. The NHS is likely lower because it's much stricter.

I detransitioned and my gender clinic doesn't know. It wasn't the clinic that prescribed the testosterone, they informed my GP, who was the prescription provider. The clinic hasn't bothered to contact me in years, and others have experienced the same. That's why people are angry.

Wait so, in the scenario you have presented, your clinic also wouldn't know you began transitioning Given you didn't do it via the NHS This is also assuming that your GP didn't tell them, assuming its the same gp who referred you to them and knows you were being seen

Where are you getting this from? I did transition through the NHS. My GP didn't need to refer me - my gender clinic allows self-referrals. I referred myself, the clinic diagnosed me with dysphoria then contacted my GP to inform them I was transitioning, and my GP prescribed my T.

Ohhhh, see you said the clinic didn't prescribe and then i thought you meant someone else, a private provider, prescribed the HRT and that thats why they wouldn't know Instead the reality is, you did go via the NHS clinic so obviously the NHS clinic 100% knows

Did you actually think the Gp and the clinic have 0 communications? lol, who did you think the GP reports to and sends those blood tests to????

My GP didn't do my blood tests - the gender clinic did. They haven't contacted me for blood work since 2017. You clearly don't know anything about how gender clinics operate in Scotland, so maybe you shouldn't spout assumptions all over the place.

Why do you think they stopped contacting you?
