Thinking here of perhaps socially accepted GNC women, school discussion of gender restrictions, if you’d been offered counselling from a younger age etc?
I definitely think accepting GNC people, without assuming they "must" be gay or trans, would be a start. Kids should be told they can act, like and dress however they want, and not need to be boxed into an identity, or taken to a gender clinic by concerned parents
