And what was the attraction of the phalloplasty? And in fact the hysterectomy? I know it might seem obvs about the hysterectomy but I don’t want to assume
Basically, just to make my body appear as male as possible. I knew two trans guys who'd had the phalloplasty back then, and they were mostly happy with the results.

Did you have any concerns about loss of sexual function? Or did that not enter the equation?

It entered the equation, but it was a risk I was willing to take back then. Looking back, I wasn't thinking straight (clearly) but was determined to reach the goals id set concerning my transition

have you been able to touch base with them now and ask how they feel about their surgery? I feel most would not be able to take the courage & be honest and tell you.

I haven't, no. The clinic reffered me to Manchester general hospital for the surgery, and my psychiatrist did warn I may be waiting a while due to the number they were sending down there.
