My child had trauma, a little in early childhood, at 10 porn found her on the internet. She won’t see that now, now 17. She won’t go for adequate therapy. Now is SO indoctrinated and will not talk. I’m at a loss. How to get through to a 17yo, I just dunno
She's afraid of therapy, I understand. People really need to learn that therapy isn't for everyone & is in fact detrimental to some. Some people don't need therapy, & dont bully them for it. She needs comfort, to know she's heard. You need to sit with her and find others who will

Agree, the therapy she did have, was not appropriate. So, I don’t push that, tho, knowing as an adult-ppl need to confront childhood demons, to b a adjusted adult, is heartbreaking. I do listen we’ve become better connected. Nothing about gender, of course. guess time will tell.
