I can't say what the global experience of being diagnosed with gender dysphoria is. I can, however, tell you what I went through for the diagnosis, and what the subsequent referral for HRT and surgery was like. 1/8

I’m interested in finding out what people mean when they say they have gender dysphoria. What are their emotions, physical sensations, thoughts, beliefs? Your experience sounds really difficult; how could the psychiatrist untangle your complex presentation?
It's hard to describe in tweet form, & the clinical description is rather vague. The best, brief, description would be: I hated being a woman, I hated looking like a woman, I hated being treated and seen as a woman. I wanted to erase as much evidence that I was a woman as I could
