3 years! surprised they don't keep in touch, what with transfolk having to receive medication long term, you'd think they'd want to check every so often.
Detransition stats are a curious thing. I haven't been to/heard from my gender clinic since 2017 - they don't even know I've detransitioned. How many others like me are there and, critically, how unreliable does this make their reported "success" stories?

I used to go for blood checks, to be weighed, general health and mental health assessment stuff. After my double mastectomy, I stopped attending and they never followed up. Maybe they ascribe to the "no news is good news" school of thought.

I sometimes get the impression that if detransitioning was as rare as TRAs claim, then every detransitioner on the planet must be on Twitter.

An excellent point. I hadn’t thought about this. How many people just “disappear” and are counted as “success stories”. Surely as a duty of care there should be regular follow-ups anyway...good or bad, there must be ongoing medical checks. There may be many people struggling.

Its now stated that for some 'transitioners' all thats required is to self id in their own mind and/or wear a dress. De-transitioning stats therefore could in theory simply track the wardrobe choices for a given day. This is the place we are now at.

Pity you have no idea what goes on at the clinic. I had good service, the right diagnosis and still under 6 monthy follow ups. It seems more females want to detransition for whatever reason. They dont force adults into the wrong decision, its not in their interest. Its rationed!
