Imagine the NHS sending invitations to trans women to get a smear test so they don't feel left out. That just can't be even remotely right.
When I was a trans man, my GP stopped sending me invitations for smear tests because my sex was in their system as male.

Did you have to ask for an appointment, if you don't mind me asking? Isn't there a way to record it via the central cervical screening service?

Screening database is from the 80s. It uses bio sex. If records are changed from male to female, it will send an invite. The person's GP is supposed to get the cervical screening recall cancelled. Replacement database is being built which will hopefully account for this issue.

That seems pretty dangerous tbh. Would you have minded if they had two categories:gender & sex? I feel like they could easily do that & even have the sex box hidden if needed.
