In general everyday life "cis" isn't used. It's only ever used as a way to distinguish between cis and trans, when it is helpful for the conversation. Words are to help make the things you are trying to convey, clear. That's the entire point.

That's not a good distinction in such conversations, sorry. Cis and trans is very simple, and makes sure everyone knows exactly what is being talked about.
