From a parent: we’re shoved in an ugly box, I find - written off by therapists/doctors/activists as hopeless transphobes, while desperately trying to maintain some kind of relationship with our volatile kids. Anonymity is crucial - and very isolating. Sigh.

I think Covid & being shut off from constant ‘affirmation’ has made a difference to young people who have been forced to spend time with their family and realised they’re not the evil ogres TRAs made them out to be. They’ve been extracted from the cult by a pandemic.

The source of the oversocialisation has been taken away so they are adopting their own morals instead of basing them off of other people's expectations. Social media makes it very easy to become a piece of a crowd.

It’s been happening for too long and now people are in isolation they have time to think... and hence whilst they are building courage to speak out themselves, they need role models and leaders to pave the way. It’s an honour to be called upon
