In your experience, have you noticed if the "settlers" amongst the most unkind and most defensive? I have seen some of the comments you have received and they seem to come from a very unhappy place.
There are those who regret transition who "settle" for it. They've made their bed and resolved to lie in it. This was my situation for over a year, and it'll be others for life. People who regret transition don't always detransition. Important to remember when discussing regret.
