I like my beard. I shave when I have to see people. In times like this, spending an week in the house, I grow it out and enjoy it. But I know if I'm to pass as a woman again, I must shave. And no, stopping T doesn't magically stop facial hair growth. This shits for life.

I knew. But I often read that transition is "reversible," so I feel obliged to remind people that it's not. The changes that HRT induce are almost completely irreversible.

I hope you don't mind me asking, but do you think that being able to grow a beard helps you aleviate any lingering dysphoria at all? I'm a bio male, and although I'm not sure if transition is right for me I've been strongly considering laser treatment since I can't stand mine.

Can you believe a dr prescribed T for me for energy and didn't bother to mention permabeard? Luckily, the warnings about children gave me pause, bc I lived w/young sis at the time,&so I never opened or used it...Side note-- I used2dream of myself w/ a beard. They are flattering.

Are you peri menopausal or menopausal? If your T level is low it won’t harm you to replace it. I’m on T for peri. It’s been a miracle! I had barely any in my body. Memory, energy & libido so bad I was completely flat! Few months on T & I’m cooking on gas again-no facial hair!
