It's almost illegal to voice that pressure. they'd be risking their jobs, friendships and social standing. The reverse however is so acceptable that everyone from lifestyle coaches to doctors tell people they should cut their genitals if they don't follow gender norms.
I love being told by self-proclaimed "trans allies" that detransition doesn't happen - but if it does - it's due to transphobia and societal pressure. I lived as a trans man for years. Not once did I experiance transphobia or societal pressure to revert.

I see tons of them claiming that it's all down to pressure too, and it's just so untrue. Not to drag my family but a member close to me said to me that transitioning to male "rectified" being a lesbian, so if anything there was pressure to stay transitioned. Yet here I am, lol :)

I feel that. My transition was hailed as brave and all that shallow, virtue-signalling bullshit.

Same. Outside my family and closest friends, nobody knew I was female. My neighbors still look at me weird when I'm out because they clearly recognise me, but somethings changed.

Sometimes people will make such claims without any real evidence other than some vague sense that it would be consistent w/ their ideology, & therefore must be true. This may happen in spite of evidence to the contrary, as they reject reality in order to protect their ideology.
