She has never advocated for gay conversion. She has, however, voiced concerned for young lesbians being pushed towards medical transition. As any sane, pro-gay person would.

Complete and utter made up bollocks, queer was the word used by homophobes when they were kicking the shit out of Lesbians and Gays. It is unacceptable to me, it is homophobic, and there is nothing radical or progressive about it.

Isn't that what the 'reclaimed' part of 'reclaimed slur' would imply? Also it's only homophobic as long as it's predominantly used by homophobes in a homophobic way. The whole point of reclaiming the term is to rob it, and thus them, of that power.

You must see why people who were once bullied and beaten as they were called "queer" would object to it today?

It's a problem when it's adopted into things like the LGBTQ community - the Q of course standing for queer. You can call yourself whatever you like, but a victim of homophobia shouldn't not have to be counted as "LGBTQ" if they deem queer a slur.

Gay men are gay men. Lesbians are lesbians. It's not hard to not have them under the same umbrella term.
