yes. People are misusing the words bigot and phobia (also plenty of other words). The meanings of words matter. If we don't agree on a definition we might as well be speaking to each other in different languages. (Sadly, some people encourage this for political purposes).

You're twisting the topic. This was about TT criticising Mermaids for encouraging trans kids - not gay kids - to keep information from their parents. TT has never said gay kids must out themselves to their parents. Not once.

But they are. The universal statement "No organisation should be encouraging children to hide their internet viewing from their parents. No children's charity should be undermining parents & assisting children to go behind their backs." Applies to gay charities as well

Have they clarified they don't mean gay charities? They have not. Have they apologised? They have now. So I conclude that they mean what they say and they are homophobic bigots

And, furthermore, trans kids need secrecy from their parents as well, or do you deny that transphobic parents are a thing?
