Parents of dysphoric kids don't receive enough support. Many gender clinics immediately affirm without investigating potential causes. Despite this parents are told to consider blockers/eventual HRT or their kid may commit suicide without them. Imagine that was you. Your kid.

In my jurisdiction a minor can access cross-sex hormone treatment without parental consent if the doctor believes the minor understand the nature and foreseeable consequences of the treatment - yet so much is still unknown about the long term effects on one's future health.

right--off label use of drugs and no long term evidence there is any relief to the dysphoria that would be the basis of taking/ rationale for such swift medical transition
