How do we promote the concept that transition should be the absolute last resort and that alternatives should be sought and this does not equate to transphobic or "conversion" therapy like it was attempted on gays and lesbians?
Unfortunately, there will always be people who cry "transphobia!" at you, no matter how reasonable and compassionate you are.
Not worried for me, but for my kid's options. It's not transphobic to want to put transition as the last resort. It can be the best option for some, and while we can understand that in the past, and for adults, gatekeeping has been harmful, but children/youth are different
