Uncomfortable topic time: Restarting T and Retransition I doubt I could ever restart T, not after how far I've come. But I'd be lying if I said the desire never popped into my head. And I'm not the only detrans woman to contemplate it. 1/5

I'd like to see trans activists and allies, who care about dysphoric youth, bringing attention to this issue. There should NOT be detrans people, who regret transitioning, turning to HRT because their untreated dysphoria is consuming them. 5/5

How do we promote the concept that transition should be the absolute last resort and that alternatives should be sought and this does not equate to transphobic or "conversion" therapy like it was attempted on gays and lesbians?
-
Unfortunately, there will always be people who cry "transphobia!" at you, no matter how reasonable and compassionate you are.

Hi I think you do an amazing job. Can I ask...you say dysphoria is a mental illness but my understanding is that gender dysphoria has been ‘downgraded’ to no longer be a MI in the diagnostic manual of mental health?
-
While its true that it was downgraded from gender identity disorder to gender dysphoria, it still meets the requirements of a mental illness, namely the severe distress and discomfort it brings. But it's too politically incorrect to call a disorder a disorder these days.

Perfectly synthesized. Helps enormously, as a parent searching for clues, guides, of where the road might be - - cause we're walking blind, and there's no option but to continue the journey, without falling into ravines or sailing to shipwreck
