I just received a lovely message of encouragement from a trans man. It warms my heart when trans people are willing to reach out and support detransitioners. We don’t have to be enemies.

I have every sympathy for people who transitioned wrongly, but why do you also so often attack trans healthcare and advocate against transition for those who do need it?
I don't attack trans healthcare, I criticize immediate affirmation and fast-tracking - both of which I and many other detransitioners were subject to at our clinics. I know transition helps some dysphoric people. I also know it harms others. That's why I urge caution.

Fast tracking? Waiting lists are literally years long just for a first appointment

I'm not talking about the waiting period, I'm referring to the evaluation period. I was handed testosterone within a few months of my first appointment. Many detrans report getting it on first or second appointment - all with minimum or no counciling to screen for other issues.
