If these reforms go through, one only needs to self-ID as the opposite sex for 6 months to get a GRC - no diagnosis of GD, no checks. These people with then have access to opposite sex spaces. Trans people are not the issue. Those who'd abuse such easy access are.

Then explain how, if for instance, a job was advertised as 'women only' as per the exceptions in the equality act, the employer would be able to legitimately exclude a person of the opposite sex if said person has a GRC?

You know fine how the exceptions work on a case by case basis you would have to prove that person posed a legitimate threat but you couldn't stop her from applying with or without a grc.

No, thats not how the exceptions work. A company can legitimately advertise for job where the applicants must be of a specific sex in some limited circumstances. It makes no difference in law if an applicant has a GRC, it would be their natal sex that is important.

Practically, it would be impossible to check the natal sex of a person with a GRC as all documentation would indicate their acquired 'sex'. Which makes a mockery of the exemptions in the equality act.
