Gender affirmation care has its place. Adults with a long, documented history of dysphoria will likely benefit from the affirmation model. But to apply it across the board - to kids, adolescents & young adults with little/no history of dysphoria, is unforgivably irresponsible.

This is my question--how is informed consent ever even possible given the truncated assessment time frames and quackery of self appointed gender experts, clinics, and clinicians selling transitioning to vulnerable populations?
It isn't. All informed consent does it remove responsibility away from clinicians who are rushing young, and often mentally unwell, people through irreversible treatment.

I'm posting reasons on my twitter of why informed consent is problematic ... love to have feedback as these include: lack of expected health improvement and misdiagnosis (w subcategories) --looking for additional ones, and irresponsibility suggests professional practice?
