I try not to think too much about when my niece was a child. It's too sad to remember when she was happy and healthy.
I look at my wee niece & nephews & I simply can't fathom telling them they're in the "wrong body" or they need medical intervention. I can't imagine supporting putting them on blockers. They're beautiful, eccentric, weird. How can anyone endorse medical intervention for kids??

I understand. Parents are told kids will kill themselves if they can't transition, that's a motivator. It's also just one in a long list of abuses by the medical industry regarding this subject that I hope parents sue the hell out of them for.

I can’t help but think their parents and/or teachers just don’t care enough. I remember my nephew needed a fairly minor operation when he was about 4 and the fear he would be hurt was almost tangible through out the family!

It's this aspect of the debate I cannot get my head around. Why would anyone encourage a course of action which harms a child before they understand the implications for themselves? I cannot understand the professionals who want to work in this field. It's so unethical.

I understand how you feel. I think the same thing every day when I see my students. The thought of putting blockers and hormones into those bodies or removing parts of them sickens me.

A teacher thinking about their students' genitals and medical treatment is creepy AF. Having someone like you around kids sickens me.

I want to return to the days where weird & eccentric was encouraged. The more we talk of inclusion it seems the more we put people in boxes. The only time humans should be put in boxes is at the end of their life-IMO.
