Nobody is doing that. There's nothing wrong with being trans. There's everything wrong with assuming gender non-conforming kids they're trans because "boys don't like dolls" and "girls don't like trucks."

That there are people out there with biases who try to hide them, and there are people who're honest about them, and you'd prefer to interact with the latter more than the former?

Of course. But I also think interacting with many different groups can give you knowledge you otherwise wouldn't have had. When it comes to the far left & far right, I don't agree with them on diddly shit. But if I can understand why they believe what they do, I learn something.
