What's irrational is believing in free will and then invoking the diety who has given you free will and expecting it to change reality to suit you.

What's irrational is believing iyour own construct of god is supreme over god. What's irrational is purporting to know how an omniscient omnipotent being will think and perceive and make decisions.

What's irrational is believing a diety and then becoming that deity to make others a part of your megalomaniac creation story. Most religious people worship themselves.

The story shows that, if your God exists, he's an evil prick for making a man consider sacrificing his own son.

The story is a way to justify parents doing awful things to their children. How many pedophile priests told their victims the abuse was God's work? How many abused the sanctity of the sacrament of confession to prey on the vulnerable? That's idolatry.

I'm Muslim and I am asking the hard questions because that's what compassionate belief means to me. Sycophantry is ego manifested. It's not piety. This is my point, people use God and religion to oppress and divide. God can't be compelled then it isn't faith it's oppression.

When will people stop using God and religion to oppress and divide? That's a question for the ages. if not God, another excuse will be sought and exploited. We're terribly interesting creatures in that sense.
