I always try to be respectful. But if you're a recently self-ID'd trans teen and you tell my 29-year-old arse that I was "never really trans," as I sit here with a beard and mastectomy scars after more than a decade of struggling with dysphoria, I will laugh at you.

It's easy to listen to you because your story starts the same way most of ours do. That we got to the same place mentally via wildly different routes is and should be shocking to everyone. Keep talking, we'll listen.
