Honest question to my nonbinary friends. How can you identify as she/they if you are nonbinary? Isn’t she a binary term? And why not just identify as they? Thank you for your respectful comments and helping us all learn.

And if we were, we'd all be non-binary, not just done of us.

Not true https://journals.sagepub.com/doi/full/10.1177/2470289718803639 … “The view that the world’s population can be separated into a clearly defined dyadic unit of male and female is defunct; not only clinical observations, but molecular biology has established that sexual identity is on a continuum..."

Nonbinary is a gender identification.

Too bad biology is more complicated than whether or not a Y chromosome is present. Sex and gender, on a very real and biological level, is not strictly binary.
-
Each body is still either male or female regardless of chromosomal differences. It being complicated doesn't mean it isn't a binary of male and female. Within male (& female) there is a spectrum of difference, but the sexes themselves, are two.
