I've been called both "hen" and "mate" by strangers so many times over the past few days, I have no idea what I'm generally perceived as. Older women seem to clock that I'm female the quickest, which is interesting.

That is interesting. I think I'm pretty good at that, and I'm also pretty old. I'm not Scottish, so "hen" is a new one. I think I like it.
