I wouldn’t have sought medical intervention had it not been presented as an easy fix to my problems. I read about gender dysphoria and thought “that’s me.” I was wrong, as were the people who facilitated my medical transition. How many more like me will there be, I wonder?

At 4yo, my daughter’s nursery report said “Does not conform to standards”. She absolutely hated being a girl, wouldn’t wear skirts or dresses, not w/o a screaming match. At 7, was a flowergirl at my bros wedding - absolute nightmare. Didnt want boobs, instead wanted to be a boy /

She didn’t really have many friends at school, she didn’t fit in w/ the girls - she wasn’t ‘girly’ enough & the boys always pushed her out, bc ofc, she was a girl. She was bullied mercilessly all the way through PS & spent a lot of time alone. Secondary wasn’t that much better. /

I know of at least 2 people that were led down the "you must be trans" path in their mid teens but that in their later teens realised pretending to be girls did not solve any issues.

An enormous number, I suspect. No matter where people stand on the debate, we seriously need to look at the increase in girls/women seeking treatment. It’s going to be a disaster for the majority of them I fear.

As always with our world, they are reactive not proactive. Nothing will be done until 1000s are suffering, Having very serious mental issues or dying from these procedures.

The really awful thing is that those of us without a dog in the fight have been told to pipe down and mind our own business. We could really see this coming. But the doctors peddling the myth lives will be fabulous & those hoping for it to be true ploughed on relentlessly.

BTW, the only people I'm blaming g here are those peddling the myth. Not those who believed it. I wish the very worst the universe has in store for the doctors who have experimented on these people.
