You allowed a meeting to be held by a group that deliberately excludes trans people from the queer movement (they removed the T from LGBT, it's not hard to spot), there's nothing "safe or inclusive" about that. You must learn and do better in future.
There were trans people at the LGB Alliance launch. They were warmly welcomed and we all had a lovely night.
