The idea that gender-nonconformity in kids is an 'early sign' that they’re trans is both sexist & homophobic. Take Iran, profoundly homophobic, and a hub for sex-reassignment. Gays feel pressure to transition to be “normal.” Being pro-trans doesn't automatically = progressive.

Being pro trans is really being pro stricter gender norms. Many conservative places are far more pro trans than they are pro homosexuality. In fact in many places the distinction doesn’t exist. People (men) that sleep with men are automatically considered women
