Well said, its not like a parent would go to the local shopkeeper drop £200 in his hand saying "That should cover anything my Son/daughter steals from you, we would rather not stop them, instead let them steal" Not a grear analogy , yet a good point.

The bill before Parliament on this issue wants to criminalize anyone who tries to persuade a person to get legitimate help. So frightening....especially those who deeply regret their decision and want to detransition. No help at all

It shouldn’t surprise me, as they have a habit of inverting the meanings of words to suit them, but it seems so obvious that helping someone to accept their own body is the opposite of conversion.

That's the unspoken part. Ask older L & G people what it was like for them when they were younger, & most had similar experiences. It's like we just got to the point of acceptance there, then this all started taking over & undoing it.

Acctance Therapy seems more positive than telling dysphoric kids they can just go get themselves sterilised. If affirmation means telling kids their delusions are real and they need to act on them, then affirmation is harmful. A boy can not be trapped in a girls body. Nonsense.
