True hermaphroditism is very rare, and even rarer still are both types of primary/secondary sex characteristics functional. There’s not one case of hermaphroditism with both ovaries and testes being fully functional. This isn’t a third sex, it's a sex development disorder.

DSDs demonstrate that nature is imperfect and sometimes things go a bit wrong. They do not demonstrate that sex is a spectrum and they have zip, zilch, nada to do with transgenderism. And yet, DSDs are raised over and over again in order to obfuscate and confuse.
