It’s a definite thing - a friend re-tweeted a photo of someone’s post that she didn’t agree with. Her account was locked out - no msg from Twitter about it. When re-activated she has 0 followed.. but one day it just came back.
I've noticed this, too. I haven't been suspended in a while but I still come across accounts I know I followed before but I need to select 'follow' again.
