We need long-term follow-up studies of trans folk undergoing SRS. The only one I’ve found (Sweden) found that those who had SRS had considerably higher suicide and suicide attempt rates. Yet, I’m told by TRAs the suicide rates drop post-transition. We. Need. More. Research.

We're studying things we can already glean the answers to. No one wants to say it. People who pass are best served by physical transition.
This is anecdotal, but I passed very well. I still regret transitioning. Many other detransitioners I know are similar. We need to know more about where dysphoria comes from, and then we need to learn other ways to treat it.

I agree with that. I'm sorry your treatment didn't help you. Did it lessen your dysphoria?

Thanks. It did, initially. Passing made me feel good. The problem was I had other issues alongside my dysphoria. I thought transitioning would make me a man and essentially address all my problems, as they all stemmed from the fact I'm a woman. But it didn't.
