We need long-term follow-up studies of trans folk undergoing SRS. The only one I’ve found (Sweden) found that those who had SRS had considerably higher suicide and suicide attempt rates. Yet, I’m told by TRAs the suicide rates drop post-transition. We. Need. More. Research.

This was the research I found when I was looking into long term effects and the suicide rate post transition to compare to the 40% trans kids will attempt suicide threat. I figured if transition was a treatment you would expect rates to go down after treatment not up!

This isn't fair, but GRS works better for certain people. It's a good treatment for a specific group of people suffering from gender dysphoria.
