      This is the sad truth, yes. I'm not mad at my family for not challenging me - I understand why they didn't. I'm mad at the mental health professionals who didn't challenge me.

      It took me 5 years to realise that, but I got here eventually. Unfortunately after being given access to hormones and surgery, of course.

      Our best hope is to drive gender ID politics out of educational institutions at every level. Whether that’s even achievable is another issue. When my nephew asked why I detransitioned I told him honestly – I made a mistake, women can’t become men, no matter what his schools says

      One day, once I’ve worked through the issues I’m currently addressing. Fortunately I’m thick-skinned, I can take the inevitable bullshit storm that would result from telling kids they should love and embrace the bodies they have.

      Oh man. How can anyone know who they are at 15? It really is mind blowing that educated adults will be supporting her decision to identify as male. Is she self-IDing or has she been seen at a clinic?
