Family members telling me they “always felt” my decision to transition was a mistake. I ask “why didn’t you say anything back then?” They reply “we didn’t want to upset you.” Please, upset me. If you have concerns about someone you love – talk to them about it. It might help.

I'm so sorry your family didn't intervene. I did with my son until he stopped speaking to me. We're back on speaking terms as long as i keep shut. My son knows I love him and maybe one day he'll appreciate that i did speak up. Also, I'm so glad you're safe from any more damage.
