It’s funny. People who claim to be trans but have no intention of medically transitioning are valid and embraced as trans. But people who actually go through medical transition, but then voice regret, are liars who were never really trans. Gotta love that consistency.

I wish trans-opponents would lower the volume and bile. One can discuss and address every valid concern about transism, without invalidating trans (or anti-trans) people. Yes, women's safety is important, but MTF violence is 1/yr out of 200K-500K cis-male violence. 1/2

You read a tweet about detransitioners being invalidated and still managed to turn it around and talk about trans people being invalidated. Impressive.

Tavistock in the UK admit on BBC that they have treated 10K+ children and teens with puberty blockers and HRT, and it appears without consideration that they may be doing immeasurable harm to these young people.https://twitter.com/will_malone/status/1199406295826059264 …

And to claim on TV that the rate of detransitioners is 1%, in the absence of long term studies, keeping track of patients and their outcomes, is unconscionable. Just making up "facts".

Most detrans people I know, myself included, don’t detransition through their gender clinic, so we’re not counted as official detrans statistics. We’ll simply never know exactly how many people regret their transition.

We will know about detransitioners, once people are allowed to do studies. There was a researcher, I think in the UK, who wanted to research detransitioners but his project was turned down for political reasons. Also it is a very strange argument to make for TRAs that we should

ignore potential human rights violations and the critical welfare of generations of children, without a clue as to what is going on from an epidemic perspective. In Canada children as young as 10 are prescribed puberty blockers by gps.https://nationalpost.com/news/puberty-blockers-cross-sex-hormones-canadas-family-doctors-get-guidance-on-treating-youth-with-gender-dysphoria …

Here's the article on the researcher into detransitioning amongst transgender people being turned down https://www.theguardian.com/education/2017/sep/25/bath-spa-university-transgender-gender-reassignment-reversal-research … Anyway, this kind of research is clearly possible to do and will be done in one jurisdiction or another one day.
