I’ll never understand why some trans activists/allies get so defensive and hostile when it comes to detransitioners and #detrans discussion.
This isn’t about you.
#Detransition exists, whether you like it or not. And we deserve a voice just as much as you do.

Hi there. I am looking into this subject. Would you be able to follow me so I could send you a message?

I’ve never seen defensive or hostile behaviour towards the tiny number of actual detransitioners purely because they’re detrans. However, when those people use their experience to invalidate and try to limit treatment for trans people, then they’ll get the reaction they deserve.

Just because you've never seen it doesn't mean it doesn't exist. I tweeted about my experiance with detransition yesterday, I didn't try to invalidate anybody, and for hours I was called a liar, my dysphoria was questioned, and I was told my depression is my fault.

I should imagine a lot of people will have looked at who you’re following and formed an opinion.

It doesn't matter who I follow - following is not endorsment. What matters is my own words, and I have never said anything hostile about trans people. Yet, I'm attacked for trying to talk about my own experiances.
