"You can't make someone be trans."
Lui from @Mermaids_Gender says the transitioning process is “rigorous” and that the experiences of detransitioners should not be used to suggest that people are “being pressured or made into being trans"

As someone who went through the transitioning process, I can confirm that it was, in fact, anything but rigorous. Transition was presented not only as the best option, but the only option to alleviate my dysphoria. Testosterone and a mastectomy did not help me.

As someone going through it, I can confirm this is false. It may literally kill me having to wait for the medical treatment I need.

I'm sorry you're struggling with the wait. But your experiance doesn't change the fact that for me, the transition process was not rigorous at all.

It sounds to me like you must have lied to them.

Of course it sounds like that to you, because even though you don't know me and you have no way of knowing what my experiances have been, you're so wrapped up in your ideology that you find it easier to dismiss me as a liar rather than accept that the gender clinic didn't help me

No, I just know what the criteria are to have the procedures you claim to have had. I'm sorry you've been mis diagnosed with dysphoria, truly, but you need to take some responsibility for that, rather than try and campaign for real trans people's healthcare be taken away.

First of all, you cleary don't know what you're talking about. Secondly, who's campaigning? I simply replied to a tweet. Thirdly, I don't want to take health care away from trans people. I know transition helps some people - but it didn't help me.

That's because you're not trans. Its like someone with a healthy knee complaining avout knee surgery they convinced multiple surgeons they needed.
