Huge thanks to AFAICT the image URL is explicit in the img[src], so a simple crawler will find it. Current lazy-loading implementations hide the image URLs in a nest of JavaScript.
Ah yes! That makes sense. But for DOM aware crawlers they will still need to scroll the page or somehow override the lazy loading?
Yes, if you’re doing something like relying purely on what the browser does (eg archiving behind warcprox). I don’t know but I’d guess WebRecorder extracts URLs as well as catching what you see?
Yes, Im not clear on what it does. This is a good question for @IlyaKreymer I guess.
Yes, pywb has a an 'auto-fetch' system to automatically capture urls from srcset, stylesheets, etc.. that may not have been loaded. Also possible to rewrite out the lazy loading attr, since, well, don't want to lazy load when recording!
