new terms learned at #ipres2019 already: "ambient literature" and "localitive narrative". The "Preserving Complex Objects" workshop is discussing ideas on how to preserve this: https://www.breathe-story.com/

It is a responsive web application, so you can view http://breathe-story.com in
@webrecorder_io ; although there is a warning about mobile support so I am not sure. Unlike other web archiving technologies it records based on user interactions so it seems a bit more doable.pic.twitter.com/c0EUGkT0bZ

IIRC it reacts to geolocation and things like orientation of the device. Not all interactions are possible through WR I think /cc

Yes, that's correct.
@Notagoth looked at Breathe as part of her work on the Emerging Formats project and might want to add some detail here.1 reply 0 retweets 1 like -

You can play the version I captured with WR here: https://webrecorder.io/BL_IF/other/list/breathe/b3/20190226150250/https://www.breathe-story.com/ … The geolocation elements don't work, and neither do the parts that use the phone's camera, but some of the tactile moments (sliding the screen across to continue reading) work reasonably well.

Have you had any interactions with the
@webrecorder_io team about this? I bet they would be super interested to hear of your experiments if they haven't already.1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -

I *think* they were at IIPC when we were there, but I didn't get chance to chat them.

Yep, we've looked at breathe-story a couple of times! Most, but not all of it, seems to work! In the new WR Desktop App (https://github.com/webrecorder/webrecorder-desktop/releases …), you can also use mobile device emulation mode and camera input will work (but is not captured to WARC)
